Herringbone brickwork with a natural timber beam
The tall brick-lined chamber uses a herringbone layout to introduce texture behind the plain stove body. A substantial timber beam closes the composition above; its visual weight, required clearances and suitability would need to be resolved for the individual installation.
Alternative treatment
A precisely edged porcelain surround
The second setting places the Ambition 8 within a porcelain-lined chamber, with a coordinating hearth and beam.
Mitred edges create continuous corners and keep the focus on the surface pattern rather than on separate trims. The image is useful as a material reference, but the actual porcelain, substrate and edge construction must be selected for the proposed fireplace.
This treatment gives the wide stove a quieter architectural frame than the brick-lined option.
